Sun-Min Kim

Since 2012 Sun-Min has worked in international development on questions of good governance, transparency and accountability. She has worked in different countries in Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa for the United Nations, foundations and non-profit organizations.
Since 2017 she has applied her experience specifically to the oil, gas and mining sector. In her current role at the Germany Development Agency GIZ in Bonn, Sun-Min works on questions of responsible mineral sourcing and supports the implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in partner countries. Before that, she worked in Guinea, West Africa with the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI), supporting local civil society and media actors in understanding and monitoring legal/contractual obligations of the government and mining companies.
Sun-Min holds a Master’s Degree in International Security from Sciences Po Paris.
